The MC74AC14/74ACT14 contains six logic inverters that accept standard CMOS input signals (signal levels for the MC74ACT14) and provide standard CMOS output levels. They convert slowly varying input signals into clearly defined, jitter-free output signals. Additionally, their noise margins are better than conventional inverters. The MC74AC14/74ACT14 has hysteresis (typically 1.0V) between the positive-going and negative-going input thresholds, which is determined internally by the transistor ratio and is essentially insensitive to temperature and supply voltage variations.
